BUY AND LISTEN TO 4 TRACK EP 12′ ON JUNO
Celebrating a year of successful weekly edit campaigns, Parisian discophile Young Pulse legitimises his dealings with GAMM. This is the first of a series of collections and every track is a dancefloor-tweaked gem. Average White Band’s “Work To Do” gets a slick groove extension, a very young Michael Jackson gets a cheeky arrangement polish and added beat muscle on “I Wanna Be Where You Are” and Minnie Ripperton’s “Baby, This Love I Have” gets a complete strip-and-rebuild. We conclude with Leon Ware’s “Why I Came To California” where Pulse ensures the latent funk in the bass and groove are brought fully for the fore. Stunning.
