Lay-Far – is a Moscow-based DJ and producer. For the last 6 years he has been a driving force behind soulful and eclectic music scene in Russia. He managed to get the international recognition as a skillful DJ and selector, seamlessly bridging the gaps between deep, Detroit and soulful house, rare disco grooves, funk, jazz-tinged bangers, Brazilian music, afrobeat and delivering a unique sonic mixture to satisfy one’s body, mind and soul. The man has got the funk! No wonder he shared the decks with the likes of Detroit Swindle, Craig Smith, Karizma, Atjazz, Mark Pritchard, Dego from 4hero, Alex Barck, DJ Food, Kev Beadle, DJ Krush, DJ Cam, Seiji, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mad Mats, Blockhead, Red Rack’Em, etc. at local and international music events and festivals, including the legendary Southport Weekender Festival (UK), SunceBeat Festival (Croatia) and others.

With multiple releases under his belt on such renowned labels, as 4Lux, Tokyo Dawn, Tru Thoughts, Amplified, Development Music, City Fly or Freestyle Records Lay-Far has been gaining constant support from the likes of Jimpster, Laurent Garnier, Opolopo, Osunlade, Phil Asher, Joey Negro, Move D, Rainer Truby, Kon, Alex Barck, Gerd, Simbad, Josh Wink, Daz-I-Kue, Recloose just to name a few. Apart from his solo works and projects Lay-Far has been collaborating with Yannah Valdevit, Peter Oakden (Restless Soul), Sarah Winton, Souled, Dragon, Positive Flow, Pete Simpson, Jonny Miller, Kira Neris, Aroop Roy, Stan Smith (Tokyo Dawn) and other independent musicians worldwide.
Moreover he has been sharing his skills, knowledge and music vision as a tutor of Sound Engineering and Sound Design Faculty of the Moscow Film School.

The year 2014 looks more than promising for Lay-Far with scheduled releases on some of the best underground music labels – Local Talk, City Fly, Atjazz Record Company, Lazy Days Recordings, Shadeleaf Music, Rebirth Records, Jazz & Milk, Basic Fingers, People Must Jam, Fata Morgana, etc.!
